De keuze voor de vermaning van Krommeniedijk is niet toevallig. Allereerst past deze kerk perfect door zijn afmetingen en als gebouwtypologie feilloos op een pad als het Zonnewijzer. Daarnaast is dit de enige vermaning waarvan, ondanks dat deze gesloopt is, voldoende informatie aanwezig is om en getrouwe kopie te realiseren.
